the simple beauty of simple things - theres a smart Japanese word for it, I forgot which one ... (either gimi, or maybe giri?) It always attracts me.
let me share today a few shots of barberry berries that survived this winter. those thin, lean, withered, short-skinned berries just appeal to me.
They seemed so touchy, that I simply could not pass by without spending 3 mins to unholster my camera and take a shoot. I think I nailed it and captured exactly the impression I enjoyed with them.
And the birds... probably they had a lot of other food this winter, so they did not pose for this berries :)
