When leaving house in the morning, I never know what kind of kiss the weather will give me in the evening ... (City residents joke on this topic like this; when a St. Petersburg resident is told the weather forecast, he always re-asks: "And what weather it will be in the evening?") It is all very moving and changeable... So, I almost never take an umbrella with me. It's overweight! And my back is weak. I'd rather take a couple of extra lenses and batteries with me, hehe.

Когда питерскому обитателю рассказывают прогноз погоды, он непременно переспрашивает: "А какая погода будет вечером?") Я никогда не беру с собой зонтик, ну почти никогда. Это лишний вес! А у меня слабая спина... лучше я возьму с собой парочку лишний объективов и аккумуляторов.
This evening brought me rain. It was not a downpour, it was sufficient, but not so strong that you would rush to the tube at breakneck speed. And I love night cityscapes. I love the feeling of being freed from office worries, when you no longer owe anything to anyone, and the rest of the evening (and maybe the night) is yours. And - do you remember? music is your only friend... Sometimes I do not want to rush home, but on the contrary, I want to lengthen my path for an hour or so. My office is located too close to the Tube station, just 3-4 minutes by foot. Sometimes, in evenings like this, it turns into a disadvantage. Then I put on my headphones, turn on Thom Yorke's 'Eraser' LP (for example) and head to more distant subway station, and my journey home takes 30 minutes longer. Said LP has some great tracks, and the song 'It rained all night' matches in the most amazing way to the mood that might city pours down on me. Therefore, I dare to offer you this soundtrack. A good transition to the next track would be 'Analyze', and then 'Gloaming'.
Этот вечер принес мне дождь. Ливень был ощутимый, но не такой сильный, что ты устремляешься к метро сломя голову, как будто за тобой черти гонятся. А я люблю ночные виды. Я люблю чувство освобождения от офисных забот, когда ты ничего уже не должен никому, и весь остаток вечера (а может быть, и ночи) принадлежит только тебе. И музыка твой лучший друг... Иногда мне не хочется спешить домой, а хочется наоборот удлинить свой путь. Мой офис располагается совсем рядом со станцией метро, 3-4 минуты ходьбы. Поэтому иногда я одеваю наушники, включаю например 'Eraser' LP Thom Yorke, и иду к другой станции, удлиняя путь домой на 30 минут. Эта пластинка имеет несколько замечательных треков. А песня 'It rained all night' изумительно подходит настроению, которое вызвало эти фотографии. Поэтому осмелюсь предложить этот саундтрек. Хорошим переходом далее будут 'Analyze' и 'Gloaming'.
And of course, the camera in my backpack pushes me to certain decisions.

This time, I unholstered the camera in 30 sec after I was out - such a strong was the impulse. But the Qurator team does not appreciate my photos, if there was a night photography competition running now, I would not even take thirteenth place. "Not of artistic value". And besides that, not B&W.
На этот раз, думаю, я расчехлил камеру спустя примерно 30 секунд после того как я оказался наружи - такой сильный импульс я испытал. Но команда Qurator не ценит мои фотографии, если бы сейчас шел конкурс ночной фотографии, я не занял бы даже тринадцатого места.

By the way, you will lol at me, but I was so carried away that forgot to check camera settings, and the first 22 frames were saved as .jpegs! No, I didn't throw them in the trash bin... But the rest of the photos are .raws, and I am editing now with pleasure.
