On Saturday we made a leizure trip outside of the city to a countryside, to the lake district just 30 mins away from St.Petersburg, named Korkino. The weather was extreemely hot and sunny, and suddenly, it happened that like half of the city went there to get some pleasure-leisure, too. Insted of a 30 minute car ride we had a 2 hours snail-pace travel... for good or bad I decided not to take the pics of the traffic jam, but it was memorable... eventually our bus make it thru the wrong lane; otherwise we may still were stuck there.
I didnt take load of pics, my primary task was to accompany children and to graze / entertain them. But when I got home I discovered I've nailed some good shots nevertheless... So, my ladies go first.
Note the funny thing which is not obvious (I noticed it later, watching the pics). Each girl was eating ice-cream in her own, unique way: #1 picked out pieces with her fingers (!) ; #2 used a fork (!!!) and #3 handled it all solely with her mouth and tongue. The process was spread in time and not reflected well in any single shot.
I gave them plastic sabers, showed a couple of tricks, and sit back with camera to enjoy their successful self-educating fencing lesson.
My baby produced extremely funny quote I will remember. She said: 'Daddy, I never sailed on the inflatable mattress before, this is the happiest day of my life!!" Really, a funny and surprising statement...
I also conducted a giant-soup-bubbles-producing-session, but unfortunately it wasnt as successful as I hoped... and its me to blame: I spoiled the recipe a bit... anyway, it is very special subject, and I will devote a special post to it.
The rest are just strangers. A lot of Russians with tattoes and without them.
A lot of families bring in their hookahs -- there is quite a strong demand for this stuff. Somehow I missed the moment when they became so popular here.
This lady is trying to help her smartphone to establish a connection. The higher is always the better... This picture is hardly indicative, one cannot embrace all the thousand cars crowded at the parking lot... which is not a lot at all, just an edge of a forest.
I captured some meals that were maturing on the campfires: sweet peppers, eggplants ... and even bananas.
