hey! I think this is a nice initiative. I nominate your post for #OCD community curation
but actually I cant say its 100% perfect, not to me. let me explicit some (I hope fruitful) critics
pics. bad visuals! and insufficient visuals... you could add more pics to the post, since you try to help others to educate themselve about this certain specie and to help them to identify it.
actually, these 2 photos have bad (spoiled, ruined) 'white balance'. which is the worst thing for presenting on anything... I am convinced of it.
if you dont have any other t.tail pics (tho I doubt it!) you could lend it with permission from others hiveans posts... @sketch.and.jam for example has a lot of great exaples almost in every second post! I ve got impression his forest is almost 99% consist of this specie, haha!
another point: actually, I like your main font used for creating visuals, very much. its a great font! but, imo, its better for non-web, printed stuff. well, thats just my opinion on your result: it pretty much works for printed stuff, but dont work too well as online visual. I really cant give more certain tips whats wrong with it, as I m not a web designer.. maybe font size should be bigger?.. grotesks also work better then serif. again, imo.
I also didnt like the balance / composition of the main description frame and upper left frame.
hmm. again, cant advise anything certain :P excuse me, if this is not a very fruitful critics :) cheers!
