Picture a day - Mourning Gray

This morning, mother nature kissed me and sent a pleasant #macro photography subject : the ringlet, an elegant day butterfly (Aphantopus hyperantus -- a very well-spread specie for Europe) settled down right in front of me to rest on a fern leaf. Both subjects look great individually, but together, it turned out a real eye-catcher! The diffused light also helped a bit. Cool morning air provided the butterfly remained perfectly still and posed for me, rather than fluttering around, changing locations every minute as they used to.

All in all, it was a pure luck! But luck comes to those who walk out into a fields with a camera and carefully look around, including from their knees, rather than sit in a hammock sipping a root beer :)
