Before I run off to the office, I wanted to drop in a few pics for #Photofeed macro photography challenge - Round 119. These were taken just a month ago at the central Botanical park at St.Petersburg, Russia, in mid April. The soil was mostly naked and everything around was brown.... now the world turned green!
Below is uncropped full-frame version of the photo.
As you may see, the buds are ... well, they are not exactly tiny,-- but rather small. And under such magnification you see a solid complexity, intricate detailing of texture and structure. This is why I love macro photography (among other reasons).
The first tulips of the season. Might be some special specie -- most of them bloomed only one month later.
Still - no irises, which I adore. Have to wait till june...
Let me round up my post here. Now in late May, these flowers are not so much precious like month ago, hehe - you can see much more if you just look around you.
