Mosquito and Zombie
In a damp and gloomy swampy forest
There lived Mosquito, small and squeaky.
He fed on blood and enjoyed the itch,
He woke people with a squeak and took away peace.
One day Mosquito met Zombie in the dark,
He was dead, but very hungry.
"Mosquito, help me find food,
And then I'll help you too!" - Zombie promised.

Mosquito willingly agreed to help Zombie,
And together they began to hunt in the night.
Mosquito bit people, and Zombie ate them,
Horror and fear they sowed throughout the district.
But with every bite, Mosquito understood,
That he becomes evil and destroys the world.
Zombie, no longer feeling anything,
Continued to eat the flesh, ruthlessly killing.
Once Mosquito finally realized that this was not his way,
He realized that evil destroys the universe.
He broke up with Zombie and flew away
To find another life, without blood and darkness.
He began to feed on the nectar of flowers,
Spread pollen and help nature.
Mosquito found a new occupation,
He became a peaceful and useful being.
Some might think that this fable is about choosing a path,
And that it's never too late to turn to the light and blah-blah-blah.
But no, you must understand that this fable is about something else,
About how easily a criminal can escape responsibility.
When the dark times are finally over,
Many villains will present themselves as white doves.
Our task is not to let them escape responsibility.
Not to forget and not to forgive, that's our duty.
Mosquito must be slammed, pollen will be collected without him.
The original text was written by me in Russian. I haven't studied English systematically so the translation may not be ideal. The main work was done by Google Translate, I just corrected obvious absurdities, where I noticed them and where I did not confuse them with brilliant insights.
