Do it! I’ve just started having to travel for work this year. At first it’s nerve wracking. I’m also rather an introvert so after a day of being sociable I tend to want to hide.
My survival tip is to plan things to do in the evening. Because I’m done with people I go to the gym (if the hotel has one) or even better if they have a sauna etc. If I’m somewhere safe and the weather’s nice I look for some cheap or free touristy stuff to do - late openings for art galleries, museums, walking tour etc. Otherwise I bring books, small craft projects, my Switch etc. to make sure I’m not just staring at the wall or mindlessly watching TV in the evening. You’ll be amazed at how much time you have when you’re not prepping food, cleaning, doing laundry etc.
