For me the new books and comics are about the same as legends. Some I really like and others I don’t like at all. The main Star Wars comic series has been pretty dull for me, but quite a lot of the mini series I like a lot, the first Lando series was fantastic, the Kanan comic was good, and for longer series both Poe and Dr Aphra have been good reads.
For books the old x wing novels and Thrawn trilogy are still among my favorites, but plenty of new good books have come out too. All of Claudia Gray’s books are very god reads, and I actually like Zahn’s new Thrawn books, I’m glad they brought Thrawn into the new canon, still kind of amazed we even got to see him in Rebels.
Click to expand... While I agree that there were atrocious Legends books, it wasnt the case that among the first 5 or 6 I ever read, there wasnt one novel that appealed to me. Yet, that was the case with nu!canon. Maybe that was bad luck of the draw but frankly, it made me fed up with nu!canon books so now I dont want to read anymore of those, no matter if they come recommended or not. I dont need to give them 50 chances to make up my mind.
And since TLJ put me off that entire timeline, I have no interest really to read anything around it. Which is why I don`t care to see previous Legends elements like Thrawn brought into that version of events. I like those elements in the timeline I know them from.
