Thank you!! Kylo going Full Villain without looking back and having to fight what’s left of his family without a simpering and extremely random change of heart would be infinitely more interesting than “Oh, he’s just lukewarm vader and palpatine is back.”
I didn’t even like TLJ but can recognize Kylo doubling down on the dark side and taking over the firsr order was a great choice. And one that had to be stuck with for this trilogy to mean anything at all.
The fact that there’s now a CONSTANT barrage of comics and books being like “We’re gonna try to retcon his death toll as much as possible to make our movies tolerable” is just embarrassing. It’s the impulse that gave us the prequels.
