Wow, what a harrowing experience you have gone through! It is easy to get wrapped up in the romantic idea of the country, but mother nature likes to teach us tough lessons. I am glad you made it through with some of your goats, they really are amazing creatures. Survival is tough. We have been in a drought too, but finally had a good rainy season this year.
