I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing John 15:5
King James Version
Many times when men attain greatness they forget that God is the one who gives the grace.
For greatness is not the result of hard work alone, but the provision of God's grace.
That is why the scriptures say in Romans 9:16
It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
God told Israel as they were approaching the promised land not to think that their strength got them there, but remember that it was God who made it possible.
(Deuteronomy 8:1-19).
For the period that they recognised God as their strength and source, He kept them. But when they began to this regard him, they were dislocated from their heritage.
Their weaknesses were exposed to the enemies, who were ready to take advantage of them.
God does not want you to be dislocated, he does not want your destiny to wither.
That is why He is telling you to remain connected to Him. For without Him you can do nothing.
When Nebuchadnezzar thought he was God, God turn him into an animal.
When Herod became very proud, He was eaten up by maggots. When Pharaoh thought he was invincible God drowned him in the red sea.
These are the things that happen to those who feel they are greater than God.
Whatever you have achieved in life see it as God's goodness towards you. Many have laboured and died without fulfilling their dreams. Don't make a fool of yourself.
Reconnect with God today, for He is the one that defines your status.
God bless you.
