And the women, her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. Ruth 4:17 (KJV)
God Has a wonderful plan for His children. His plan transcends generations. He Has a way of putting smiles on the faces of His children. At the time that Naomi thought that her lineage was cut off because of the death of her two sons, God made sure her lineage continued through her daughter-in-law, Ruth.
God saw the faithfulness and service of Ruth and decided that the Lord Jesus Christ should come through the lineage of Ruth. Naomi鈥檚 neighbours could not hide their joy but to celebrate with her and name her grandchild.
Dear brothers and sisters , believe that God Has a wonderful plan for you; a plan not just for today but for posterity. Serve God and the people He brings your way from a pure and faithful heart. In due time, you will receive a reward which will cause people to rejoice with you.
