"Knowledge never goes wasted." This is a pet line of my Dad. He always insist to gain as much knowledge as possible. He mention that people always looks after film actor , actress , sportsman etc as celebrity. But a knowledgeable person is genuine celebrity. He even goes on to quote following from ancient Sanskrit verses :
सर्वत्र देशे गुणवान् शोभते प्रथितः नरः|
मणिः शीर्षे गले बाहौ यत्र कुत्र मपि शोभते||
Sarvatra deshe gunawaan shobhate prathitah narah.
manih sheershe gale baahou yatra kutra mapi shobhate.
Sarvatra = everywhere.
Deshe = Country.
Gunawaan = knowledgeable and virtuous person.
Shobhate = liked, adored.
Prathitah = a celebrity, famous.
Narah = person.
Mani = a precious stone like a ruby, gem etc.
Sheersh = head.
Gale = neck.
Bahou= arms.
Yatra = here.
Kutra = where.
Yatra Kutra = any where.
Mapi = even
Shobhate = looks beautiful, adored.
A knowledgeable and virtuous person becomes a celebrity and is adored in all Countries, just as a precious stone worn over head, neck, arms and even anywhere on the body looks beautiful and is adored.
Individuals with specialized knowledge and skills, such as artists, musicians, or athletes, can gain fame through their talent and ability to perform at a high level, captivating audiences and earning admiration. Knowledgeable people can also gain fame by sharing their expertise through teaching, writing, or public speaking, becoming recognized as authorities in their fields and inspiring others.
It is better to gain knowledge and become a pure celebrity. Knowledgeable people often achieve fame because their expertise and contributions can lead to groundbreaking discoveries, influential ideas, or valuable skills that resonate with a broad audience, ultimately earning them recognition and admiration.
