We human being have certain kinds of traits which never going to be change during the course of the life. But we need to understand that there is a world bigger than what we see in front of us. Untill and unless we do not change the traits we unable to see the besuty of the world. I just found out some words in sanskrit which shows how a traits influence people life.
गृहासक्तस्य नो विद्या नो दया मांसभोजिनः|
द्रव्यलुब्धस्य नो सत्यं स्त्रैणस्य न पवित्रता||
Ghruhaasaktasya no vidyaa no dayaa maamsabhojinah.
dravyalubdhasya no satyam strainasya na pavitrataa.

Ghruhaasaktasya = Gruha + aasaktsya. Gruha = home,family
Aasaktasya = a person very fond of
No = not.
Vidyaa = knowledge, learning.
Dayaa = compassion,mercy. Maamsabhojinah = carnivorous,flesh eaters.
Dravya = money
Lubdhasya = greedy person's.
Satyam = truth.
Strainasya = a person having excessive fondness for woman.
Na = not.
Pavitrataa = cleanliness, purity.
The sanskrit scholar wants to convey that "Persons who are very fond of their home and family are never a learned persons. Persons and animals who are carnivorous (flesh eaters) are merciless and cruel. Persons who are greedy for money never speaks the truth,and those who have excessive fondness for women do not maintain the cleanliness of the body and purity of thoughts."
Looking deeper we may find it means a lot. And it will be very difficult for people to change themselves. Tye traits keep influencing them throughout the life.
