Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia. In this week art contest, I would like to show you my art work about Earth Elemental. One of the Earth Splinter from Alpha and Beta edition. He is the ranged attack monster who has heal ability started from level 4. Pretty nice to be put in the backmost to anticipate sneak monster. Here is my final result :
- Inspiration -
My artwork was inspired by Earth Elemental monster, here is the card and its full picture :
I personally interested to the world of flora and fauna so I was challenged to draw Earth Elemental. His body is simple, not that complicated to draw, and mostly need 2 kind of colour only (with gradation for sure) so the colouring would not be difficult as well.
- Tools and Materials -
All tools and materials I have used are depicted in below picture :
1. Paintbrush
2. Palette
3. Marker
4. Water Colour
- Progress Steps -
1. Create an outline of Earth Elemental using pencil
2. Thicken the line using pen
3. Colouring Earth Elemental using water colour
4. Colouring the background and thicken the line again using black marker
I made him stand on the stone. The green colour on his body is leaves and I made his hair like a tree as I was inspired with Earth Elemental
Alright guys, that is the Earth Elemental artwork. I glad that I can join this contest because one of my hobby is drawing and painting. I will always practice drawing and painting in order to produce better picture / artwork.
