Is there any other joy greater than the joy of getting married to the person we love dearly and wish to spend the rest of our lives with? I don’t think there is any other joy greater than that, even if there is, the only event that could be on the same par with one’s wedding day is one’s date of delivery, I mean the joy of becoming a father or mother for the very first time, such joy and happiness knows no bounds…
Till yesterday I had the intention of having a rich and elegant wedding, a wedding that blows the mind of the public, If I could have it my way, I want this wedding to be imprinted in the hearts of many. I have never thought of having my wedding over here in Nigeria, I have always had this strong and deep connection with PARIS views, I would love to get married in Paris, in an open space with just my wife and me, while our family members do the celebration back here in Nigeria…
This was the type of wedding I wanted up until yesterday but after sleeping on it for hours, now I can’t even imagine having a wedding without my parents and siblings, the joy of every married couple comes from the presence of both their family’s and friends, the joy of having them around throughout the entire process knows no bound, from the traditional wedding ceremonies to the church wedding where rings and vows are exchanged, and then concluding the whole wedding process with a big bang RECEPTION…
I have decided to have a simple yet elegant wedding, I don’t think I want to make so much noise with it but I would love to have at least a thousand people at my wedding, the traditional wedding will be simple and elegant, I will be going with just few trusted friends, families and loved ones for the introduction ceremony, I don’t want too much people…
For my introduction ceremony, I would love to have at most 50-100 people from my side for the bearing of gifts to the end of the whole process. While something else entirely for the main church wedding…
I know not everyone will be able to make it to the church wedding, I mean the whole ring exchange and vows exchange stuff but for the reception, nobody would want to miss it haha, even I didn’t miss the reception party of other past couples…
My reception will be strictly by invitation, no invitation no entry, I don’t want an uninvited crowd at my wedding so it is strictly by invitation, I would have my reception at one of the biggest event centers in Nigeria with tight security everywhere…
I am going to be making good use of BOUNCERS and SOLDIERS, this is to tell you I don’t want any mistakes from any angle…
As usual, I will be hiring a professional M.C, if possible I would love to have either kennyblaq, akpororo, or funnyboy as the M.C of my reception, it would be awesome to have a comedian as M.C, kennyblaq or akpororo should be the best pick for me…
The reception decoration will be handled by my siblings, I want something lively and sharp with a lot of stories to tell, when it comes to food and drinks, I am thinking of making it a serve yourself kind of party, with caterers and drink servers posted in different angle of the hall…
I will be handing over the list of things to do to the M.C, I will be hiring a live band to perform at my reception…
The vibe and energy from a live band performance are incredibly amazing and I love what it does to the atmosphere…
Fox in his tuxedo suit and his bride in her wedding gown will be the first dress style of the reception then in a bit we change into something new, something easy and elegant for easy dance movements with my groomsmen in a sharp brown tuxedo suit and my wife’s bridesmaids in a beautiful long purple/magenta gown…
Tables will be arranged according to the title and role of each guest, my parents' invitees will be sharing the table with them, and my high school friends will be occupying a table, including friends I met after high school and In service, other invited friends and their plus one’s will be occupying a particular table…
Oh I am not going to be taking the couples dance lightly, I will be everywhere dancing that day, it is just one day for crying out loud famz, I will be dancing my best moves that day and you should look forward to it hahaha, my fox…
In summary, I just want my reception party to be the best amongst the best, it should be recorded and remembered for a lifetime, One thing I look forward to is the dance performance of the groomsmen and bridesmaids, oh my, this is going to be epic and I am so going to love it…
In conclusion, I can’t help but imagine how beautiful that day will be, I am literally picturing everything in my head right now and I am happy at the image in my head, I want cars and jeeps parked everywhere just to grace my wedding, Mehn, this is going to be lit and it is going to be requiring one hell of a FUND, which I will be able to dish out when the time is ripe…
