I loved this right away because it looks like a cousin of a cat, Kaelo sounds nice too. Your character is so beautiful and uniquely dressed.

I used to have a hard time picking colors, too. But now I use a Color Wheel to help.
First, I pick one color.
Then, I look at the color straight across from it that's the best match
If I need three colors, I just draw a triangle on the wheel to find them.
It makes picking colors much faster and I am sure there are plenty of ways to use the color wheel. Hope this helps. Have fun
