Hi Hivians and LMACians,
In the previous round I could not participate due to limited time, but I really regretted it, because making collages is a very relaxing activity and shaka with the LMAC rounds always gives a great motivation to create collages. Again, it was a lot of fun to take on the challenge of making something that was on my mind based on a template photo.
However, there are already a lot of collages finished in this round to be admired. I'm still not quite done browsing all the posts and I'm already excited to see what else there is to marvel at. Really great, this round!

An der letzten Runde konnte ich aus Zeitgründen nicht teilnehmen, was ich wirklich bereute, weil Collagen zu basteln eine sehr entspannende Tätigkeit ist und shaka mit den LMAC-Runden immer einen prima Ansporn dazu gibt. Es hat mir wieder viel Freude bereitet, die Herausforderung anzunehmen, aus einem Vorlagen-Foto etwas zu basteln, das mir im Kopf rumgeht.
Aber es gab auch schon sehr viele fertige Collagen in dieser Runde zu bestaunen. Ich bin immer noch nicht ganz fertig alle Posts zu durchstöbern und bin schon gespannt was es noch so zu bestaunen gibt. Echt stark, diese Runde!
About my collage

In the last few days I somehow felt a deep world-weariness, as a result of thinking about the development of the current zeitgeist and various terrible abysses of our epoch, as I have been doing more often in the recent time. There were also a lot of worries about the future.
In the position of the mourning observer, in which I lifted myself up, the world seemed to me to become a place, that was more and more like a dry desert. A great hot, never-ending dry period, because it just doesn't stop. A world in which everything that was always dear to me is slowly disappearing.
Surely this is also one of the effects of getting older, that mourning after the just valid, cuddly present. But my rational mind also tells me that nowadays we live in an extremely turbulent, unstable epoch, in which mankind will probably have to reinvent itself once again or otherwise perish.
Many will agree with me, in view of the many political unrests, the smoldering danger of world war, and increasingly crazy political, economic and ecological developments.
But I don't want to go into details here. Almost everyone has to carry his own baggage today, no matter which political camp he is close to, where he lives or which world view he calls his own, even if it is only the standard baggage of our time.
When I tried to find an inspiration for the collage of the current LMAC round, I already had my world-weariness under control more or less again, although it still had an influence on it. But this influence was quite positive thanks to a good realization that revealed itself to me.
To bring it to the point, Mark Twain is probably right (quote, above). Moreover, reality can only ever be and become what ripens in our little heads. And so our imagination is at any time and unbroken the key to a rosy future and happy existence.
Mankind is more creative than ever before. Actually a very good sign, I guess.

Über meine Collage

In den letzten Tagen verspürte ich irgendwie einen tiefen Weltschmerz, nach dem ich mir, wie in letzter Zeit häufiger, die Entwicklung des derzeitigen Zeitgeistes und diverse schlimme Abgründe unserer Epoche vor Augen führte. Einige Zukunftsängste trugen dazu noch bei.
In der Position des trauernden Beobachters, in die ich mich erhob, erschien mir die Welt ein Ort zu werden, der für mich einer immer trockener werdenden Wüste gleicht. Einer großen heißen, nicht enden wollenden Durststrecke, denn es hört einfach alles nicht auf. Eine Welt, in der alles langsam schwindet das mir immer lieb war.
Sicher auch einer der Effekte des älter Werdens, dieses Nachtrauern nach der eben gerade noch gültig gewesenen, kuscheligen Gegenwart. Doch sagt mir auch mein rationaler Verstand, dass das Heutzutage in einer überaus bewegten, unsicheren Epoche lebt, in der sich die Menschheit wohl abermals neu erfinden werden muss oder doch noch untergehen wird.
Viele werden mir recht geben, angesichts der vielen politischen Unruhen, der schwelenden Weltkriegsgefahr, und immer verrückter erscheinenden politischen, ökonomischen und ökologischen Entwicklungen.
Ich will hier aber gar nicht Details ansprechen. Nahezu jeder hat ja heute sein eigenes Päckchen zu tragen, ganz gleich, welchem politischen Lager man nahe steht, wo man lebt oder welche Weltanschauung man sein Eigen nennt, und sei es nur das Standard-Päckchen unserer heutigen Zeit.
Als ich mich um eine Inspiration für die Collage der aktuellen LMAC-Runde bemühte, hatte ich bereits meinen Weltschmerz wieder einigermaßen im Griff, obgleich er trotzdem noch Einfluss darauf nahm. Doch dieser Einfluss war dank einer guten Erkenntnis die sich mir offenbarte, durchaus positiv.
Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen, Mark Twain hat wohl recht (Zitat, oben). Darüber hinaus kann die Realität immer nur das sein und werden, was in unseren Köpfchen reift. Und so ist unser Vorstellungsvermögen jederzeit und ungebrochen der Schlüssel zu einer rosigen Zukunft und glücklicher Existenz.
Die Menschheit ist so kreativ wie noch nie. Eigentlich ein sehr gutes Zeichen, schätze ich.
Meine Collage handelt darüber, das Beste aus einer Situation/Zeit zu machen.
Ich habe es versucht, ohne zu übertreiben, in meiner Collage abzubilden. Hoffentlich kann man es erkennen. :-D

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

Are you a good photographer and would like to contribute some nice good quality photos in exchange for good votes and tribute?
We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.
Was ist LMAC?
LMAC ist eine großartige Community für Künstler jeder Erfahrungebene. Deren Name ist eine Abkürzung von "Let's make a collage" (Lass uns eine Collage machen).
