Great call out to improve posts by musicians! Original artists shall be recognised as it should be.
Being a curator myself in the music segment of our platform, I sometimes wonder why musicians and music fans posting there own music our other artists music, are not taking advantages of HIVE being a blogging platform. Personally I like to see a bit more than just sharing music. I like to read the personal thoughts of the user posting some music. I do realise we have services that are less about blogging, like 3speak and dsounds, but still. I also realise, not everybody is able to write, but that said, I'm not looking for the great writers. Everybody has their own thoughts; Why not try and write this into the posts alongside with the music the user is sharing? I even like to see user sharing other artists works since HIVE should also be for music fans to share articles about and with music. These users must add value to whatever they share; When not, it looks quite like spamming and scamming, using other peoples work to make money at HIVE. I personally skip those posts for curation, and dont take time to comment those posts. Some of them entered my MUTE list. In addition, I see more and more abuse in the music community. Mucisians posting their work multiple times, even on the same day. For instance, some users post their work first to 3speak and then write a post with the exact some content and publish this through peakD, or hive.blog. I skip those authors for any curation. Unfortunately, many other curators, still vote these users, including some of the high value vote curators of which some of them you mentioned in your post. I do hope the music corners at HIVE will grow, but I do like to see less abuse, more diversity in users blogs, and more engagement.
