Introduction

This is my first post, so before I begin, please let me introduce myself.

My name is Karol I'm 32y old. I am from Poland, but currently I live in UK.
...and I think that is actually enough about me for the time being 😃

To be honest, I would like to introduce myself a bit better, but REALLY!!! I am so excited that I have found dCity.io and Hive that I will just leave that for later!

Soo... Let's talk some game and blockchain language!

Literally, I did find out about Hive/Keychain and dCity.io - YESTERDAY!

How this happened?

Short story - from time to time I am checking out new dApps on DappRadar and dCity.io is listed there as new app.
Long story - that would be a story for a whole new blog post (maybe in the future).

Now let's go... check out how I started and learn from my mistakes!

1st step:

As per requirements at dcity.io/info i have added Keychain into my browser!

2nd step:

I got lost, and I didn't know what to do next... 😅
But I think I am quite clever guy, so I did what every clever guy would do... I have asked for help.
And that's how I found the amazing & helpful dCity community on Discord <---link

No more jokes, just "Quick rout I took" - I bet there are better ways to do it, but that's how I did it as a total newbie +(metamask & BSC user)

1. Add keychain extension to my Chrome browser -->LINK
2. Signup for Hive through Ecency which I found here -->LINK
3. Swapped my BNB to SPS (Splinterlands token) on Pancakeswap.
4. Registered with Metamask to Splinterlands.
5. Transferred my SPS from Metamask to Splinterlands.
6. Log outfrom Splinterlands.
7. Again registered to Splinterlands but now with Keychain.
8. Log out from Splinterlands (Keychain).
9. Log in to Splinterlands (Metamask).
10. Transfer SPS through the game to my Keychain Splinterlands account.
11. Login again with Keychain and withdraw from Splinterlands to my Hive account on keychain!
12. Swapped SPS to swap.hive using Tribaldex --> LINK.
13. Swapped swap.hive to SIM - as well, using Tribaldex.
14. Log in into dCity with my Hive account!
15. Start playing!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy 😂

I am pretty sure there is a better way to do this, and I will write about it in the next blog post, so stay tuned. In the next posts, I will explain how to actually start playing dCity.

...thing to mention.

If you are also only BSC and Metamask user, don't be scared of gas here. From step 5 on above list i did not pay any 😉

Conclusion / impressions

My "onboarding" was a bit lengthy, but I was determined - and trust me, the game is worth it!
dCity is so far the best game I have found on blockchain!
When the HYPE for "stupid" games will end the games will disapper.
BUT dCity is here to stay!
