When I first read your question I sort of chuckled to myself and let out a loud “NO.” During my first few months on the Steem platform, I read just about every post that I was up voting and even the ones that I wasn’t up voting. Initially, I was learning about cryptocurrency and needed more information to get started, so this was a great incentive to read.
Later, I joined a community of writers and would read so many wonderful well written stories. We up voted each other’s stories and gave feedback. Fast forward to seven months later, I currently use auto-voting to upvote many of the posts. I do go back and read about 10% of those that I have up voted.
Most of the posts that I read are from people that I follow for one reason or another and I know the quality of their work and it is also visually appealing, factual or entertaining.
Some posts are entirely too long and are not of interest. On the other hand, a well written creative post that is thought provoking may capture my interest and the length is not an issue.
Unfortunately with the advent of technology, reading has become a lost art. Great question.
