The sight of Cupel Bay was indeed quite pretty from a descending road where I rode my motorcycle toward it. The view of the ocean, the fishermen boats, and the was a treat for my eyes. Green meadow by the side of the road with cows grassing on it was something you don't usually expect to see by the sea. Well, whether the bay was beautiful as it seemed from the distance was something I had to find out. It was my first time to visit the Cupel Bay.
The road ended by the beach. It was a dead end. There was a wall hindering me to ride on. So, I just parked my motorcycle by the wall.
The wall, which I found out later, was there to protect the land. The wall stretched for about more than 200 meters along the beach blocking the waves from eroding the land. But the constant stroke of sea waves was very powerful over a long time. More of half of the wall was already broken.
The bay was quiet. I saw many cows, obviously they belong to someone, who grassed silently at the meadow by the wall.
I decided to have a walk along the black sandy beaches among the broken wall. The sand was very smooth and fine. Some rubbish was washed away from the ocean here and there.
I continued walking until there was no sand. Next, it was a rocky ground. It was black rocks, so probably they were volcanic rocks.
My son, whom I took on this trip with me, occupied himself by trying to catch small crabs which hid between the rocks. He was too scared to hold the crab, so I had "to take the matter with my own hand".
I was able to catch some little crabs, but there was a bigger one that I had to leave him alone. A guy whom we met told us that crab, despite its pretty color, was poisonous. Well, knowing nothing about crabs, I followed his advice not to touch it.
After the crab business, I walked further away to the east. The black rocks got less and less, it was replaced by light brown rocks which probably made of corals.
Some happy fishermen were fishing along the beach on the brown rocks. They shouted as they caught something on their fishing rod.
There was a family, a father, a mother, and their daughter there. They seemed to enjoy being in the bay.
Far away in the east on the sea, there were more fishing boats. It was probably the harbor.
The light brown rocks was my favorite on Cupel Bay. So, I spent some time being there. Even though, the sun set was not visible, but still the view and the atmosphere was great!
