Food for all馃檪馃檪馃檪馃檪馃檪!
One evening when Ram dutta was watching the world news on the TV,he was shocked to see young children belonging to another country looking weak, tired, and sickly.
The children were malnourished because there was severe shortage of food in their country.
In other words there country was suffering from a famine.
Famine occurs because of heavy rains leading to floods which destroy crops and houses.
It also occurs due to lack of rains when no crops grow. This leads to drought.
Sometimes when a country fights a war with another country for a long period of time there can be shortage of food too. Without food people became weak and fall sick. Many die of starvation.
Ram dutta knew that in the olden days famines used to occur in india. He remembered his father telling him many years ago of a great famine in West Bengal.
Ram dutt,s father told him about the Great Bengal famine in the year 1943. At the la d had dried up due to lack of rains. Thousands of peoples and animals got affected.
