Recently, the Reserve Bank of India informed that after demonetization, almost all the old notes circulated in the market were deposited in banks. In exchange for these old notes, the Reserve Bank released new notes. In the process of this exchange of currency, much of the expenditure has been recorded in the printing of new notes.
