Most PC gamers will probably already know about the huge Steam sale that's going on. And who doesn't love a good sale? It's the perfect chance to grab a few titles that may have eluded you over the years or perhaps you've been putting them off.
I'm quite a slow gamer these days. I have zero chance to keep up with all the releases and I end up playing most games, but not all, months or years after they've released. In fact I buy pretty much all of my games on sale unless it's a title I need to have on release. The only PC game I've bought at full price in the last few years has been Cyberpunk 2077. I just wasn't passing that up on release. I'm on no rush to play most games as they release so I just wait for a sale. Games always end up on sale at some point so why not be an opportunist?

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

This one shouldn't really have to be mentioned but then again it would be a disgrace to leave it out. The Witcher 3 is my personal all time favorite video game. It's a fantastic game with a deep and rich story set in a rich world with a lot of lore and details. The main story will take you on a 50 hour long journey and if you want to experiene the whole game you're set for 200+ hours.
The expansions, Hearts of Stone, and Blood and Wine are on sale as well and you can pick up the Game of the year edition of the game which includes the expansions for $10. That's a steal for a title like this.

Borderlands 1 & 2

The first two Borderlands games are fantastic. I can't comment on the third installment because I haven't played it yet but that is also on sale. This is the genre of looter shooters done right. It has been called the Diablo of FPS games. You kill a lot of enemies and you collect a lot of gear. A LOT OF GUNS!!! The game has such a huge randomization of loot that you can find "bazillions of guns". Everything from handguns to rocket launcher with both bad and amazing stats.
I recommend the Game of the Year editions for these games as well. That gives you all of the extra content released as well as the base game. Borderlands 1 can be bought for $11 and Borderlands 2 can be bought for $7. Yes, the first game is more expensive than the second for some reason.

Just Cause 3

Just Cause 3 isn't a fantastic game but it is a really fun game. It features a lot of destruction using both guns and vehicles. The country of Medici is huge and can be traversed by foot, by car, by plane, helicopter or wingsuit. Yes, wingsuit. The wingsuit is crazy fun to soar around with. I've heard that the controls are quite a pain on console but I've had no problems with them on the PC.
The base game is currently 85% off putting it at $2.5. The XXL Edition which features all extra content in terms of weapons, cars and DLCs is 94% off putting it at a whopping $3.5. The entire franchise is on sale varying from 80-95% so if you've missed out on any of them this is your chance.

Any fan of RPGs should really play this game. This game is deep and your choices really matter. You can play this game through several times and have it be different each time. The character you choose and the skill you choose to accompany it will really define your path. With no lockpicking skill there's a lot of areas and loot you will miss. With no persuasion skill you will miss a lot of dialogue options. You have to weigh both your stats and your choices carefully.
This game is built open the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition and is made by the same people who are currently working on Baldur's Gate 3.
The base game is currently 60% off putting it at $16. There are several other editions to get but none of them bring you any extra content apart from artwork or the soundtrack.

I could list games for days with how huge this sale is but I'm gonna end it there. Have you picked up any games this sale? I've picked up Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, the only game from the Witcher I haven't played yet. I intend to play it after I finish up Mad Max.
