What a nice initiative this week. As soon as I received the invitation from my dear @sacra97, I didn't think twice. More because my diary is full of letters, words and sentences that together, make a good emotional outlet, especially when you have no one to talk to.
So here I am, with my delicious cup of steaming, freshly brewed coffee on one side and on the other, my beloved diary....
Believe it or not, yes, a person my age, adult, divorced, with a 13 year old boy, still has a diary.
I have never stopped keeping it, but it has varied over time. First it was that cute little Hello Kitty notebook with the little key and lock, then I had a Sarah Kay one, then Garfield, then Pascualina and now, it is a notebook with notes, where I unburden myself and write everything I feel; hopes, longings, anger, frustrations accompanied by the silent and choked tears that manifest themselves while I write.
🌼 Querido Diario 🌼
🌼 Dear Diary 🌼
I hadn't updated here for a week already because I've been very busy making decisions that, to be honest, I don't know what consequences they may bring to my life, but I think it was necessary to take.
As you know, my dear Diary, I have been working for four months now in a company where the owner is completely crazy, who likes to mistreat her employees and enjoys humiliating the people who work for her.
You know that I got into that job because I was looking here and there for a fixed income to pay for the same fixed expenses that most people have: food and basic services and also because the confinement was consuming me. I needed to do something outside my home. But I had barely been with the company for a month when I realized what kind of person my boss was. As I said, she is a person who says she is a believer in God and goes to church every Sunday to pray.
From the first week at my job, the problems started. She would forget to pay me my salary, she would lock me in to go to lunch and come back almost at the time of leaving (I don't have keys to that company); she would ask me to do things and then tell me that that was not what she wanted, that I wasn't paying attention. On top of this, I had to bring my own coffee, my own drinking water, my own toilet paper and even my own notebook. She wouldn't even lend me a pencil and pretended that I was her maid because she left me dirty cups, glasses and even plates in the dishwasher when I was hired as Administrator.
The last thing that made me decide to leave was that yesterday, which was payday, she only gave me a part of what I was entitled to because according to her, she did not have the money to pay me. In other words, I worked for fifteen continuous days so that she would pay me for eight days of work, if that. Additionally, I talked to her about signing an employment contract, which she had told me that if I passed the three months, we would sign that employment contract. When I mentioned it to her, she said no, that she had no intention of changing our employment status, that for legal purposes, we did not have any kind of relationship and that it should stay that way and that the day she did not need me anymore, she would tell me and I would have to leave.
@osismi,
@belkisa758 y
@slwzl.
Gracias de nuevo por este bonito momento.
Oh my dear Diary, you will say that I am an idiot for having put up with so much, won't you? And yes, maybe I am a little, but I wanted to see how far I could take this and work on patience, tolerance and acceptance. But I think I went too far because what I did was develop a sad, pathetic submission. I confused things and didn't know how to distinguish between tolerance and submission and really both situations are separated by a very thin line.
So today, I decided to put an end to this antics and went to the office to get my things and tell her Au Revoir. Her face was worthy of a meme. She turned pale and then her face became distorted with pent-up anger.
She just said to me, "You know you don't get a penny, right?". I just looked at her and nodded with my face without saying a word. The girl was completely out of her mind, she didn't expect my resignation.
Well, my dear Diary, I'm back in the ring. Once again I am part of that long list of unemployed people in my country. But instead of being worried, I feel at peace, I feel that a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
I think that now you will have me more time occupying these lines because I will have more free time.
Before saying goodbye, I would like to invite my friends @zhanavic69,
@osismi,
@belkisa758 and
@slwzl to participate.
Thanks again for this nice moment.
