Thank you @jasperdick I'm extremely lucky to have had understanding parents who put up with a lot of noise from me when I was a youngster. I now have tolerant next door neighbours. I use an electric drum kit so the noise is minimal but of course I learned on a real kit..nobody likes living with one of those.
