Potluck means bring whatever food you want to a gathering. Sometimes you get an assorted array of foods and sometimes a couple of same dishes butnusually different recipe.
My cousins wanted to come over here to talk about some things in the family. I said ok since there will be just 8 of them and they said potluck so I said mine will be the rice and softdrinks but I also bought 2 viands from the carenderia downstairs.
There was another dish that was placed late - the grilled pork or liempo. There was a lot left-over even after I gave to my helpers some food. We had a fun time talking and planning. They arrived before lunch and went home around almost 4pm. There were 5 of us first cousins and they brought their wives.
Eating and telling stories. It is fun to have unplanned meals like these with potluck food and good company.
