Because it is only me and my mom, we usually by food from the carenderia, or other places selling food for meals. Cheaper too. But when we cook I make sure we have some to save. For another day.
But the other day my nephew said he woulld be coming with his girlfriend to visit his mother’s grave on her first year death anniversary. So I invited them for lunch. So we had a simple home-cooked meal.
We had Tambo cooked in gata with pasayan - Young bamboo shoots cooked in coconut milk with shrimps. Then chicken and pork adobo - chicken and pork stew. Then pork kilawin - pork usually the facial and ears grill chopped and with vinegar onions and chilli pepper.
They bought buko or coconut pie. There was only 4 us so I had some adobo saved for tomorrow’s lunch.
