Hello hivers. How you guys doing? Hope you all are doing good. Well for me it's not that good because our region is partially submerged in water. And if it goes the same way it might submerge fully. Yes, I'm from Assam and we get floods every year mostly during monsoon.

Talking about Assam, Every year about 2.5 million people get displaced, loose their home,family due to floods. For till date, government have drowned about 100m INR. The most prestigious National park of India , kaziranga national park is famous for great one horned rhinos. And surprising rhinos die more due to floods then by pouchers.
WHY ASSAM FLOODS EVERY YEAR?
You guys must have heard about river Brahmaputra. River Brahmaputra is originated from the great Himalayas and flows through Assam , Bangladesh and exits into the bay of bangal. This river is so big that it's even visible from the space. This river is a lifeline because it carries sediments along with water.
During monsoon, glaciers from himalays melt which them immerges as flood. But because of cyclone, the intensity of heavy rain is increased which risults in Assam flood rising above danger level. Climate change is real
Floods are necessary for Assam.
Also at some point floods are necessary for Assam as brings sediments which makes the soil fertile. There was a time when peoples of Assam welcomed the first flood of the year. This is a natural phenomena. But recently this natural phenomena turned into natural disaster. The rise in water level of Assam flood is such that it's not even safe in high ground for animals. River Brahmaputra is both lifeline and threat to Assam
These are some points raised by few peoples of India talking about Assam and this is totally true because I'm from Assam and I know the situation better. Infact water reached our backyard and who knows tommorow it might get into our house. I've got to charge my smartphone after one day coz the electricity connection is cut unour area. Hope this gets over soon coz it not only make huge loses but also brings a lot of disease and now it's Corona time which makes it more dangerous.
