I strongly agreed with you that law is law once it is established,but I must also add to your takes that many of those who violate this law are new users,just like you said maybe don't want to keeping posting about their day to day life maybe cause they felt it should be a private thing and as a result of that they go on to start doing copy and paste and I must say many of them don't know that their is a hive watcher who watches their post and check for plagiarism and I must say sensitization should be given to new users to help them avoid being a vitcim of offence when they register,cause aside from plagiarism most of them too misuse tags too,it is better to warm them at first whenever they make such mistakes as you have said than punishing them immediately,but punishment can now comes in after such users repeated the same mistakes after been warned
