Hi guys today I want to show you the second illustration I did for a futuristic cities commission. I wanted to prepare myself a little more and started reading a painting book by the amazing artist James Gurney titled "Light and Color", which helped me to understand a little more how to choose base colors in a painting and from these to get other secondary colors, it helps me to understand what colors we see and how to represent them. The illustration process was the same as the previous one, the client provided me with a reference image which you can see below:

😁

after having the reference photo I made a quick sketch, this time using some colors instead of starting in black and white. 😁

after my client made some corrections and suggestions, the illustration started to look like this 😍

Finally he asked me to add more neon lights and I wanted to add some more characters and robots.

I hope you liked this illustration, I apologize if the images of the process are not enough, this type of illustrations are new to me and it is a little complicated to establish an order because the process is different from other illustrations I've done. 😅
