Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the eighth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. After successfully managing to scrape through the intense defensive struggle in the previous level, I am now just one final step away from completing the chapter and unlocking the long-coveted, open-ended conquest mode.

This decisive final stage of chapter one is none other than the legendary "Surprise Attack at Okehazama." In this scenario, I have to hold the line against heavy Imagawa clan forces pushing up aggressively from the south, trying to seize my northern base under the assumption that the Oda leader, Nobunaga, is distracted and celebrating with his guard down. However, it is all a brilliant ruse: in reality, Nobunaga is secretly preparing a devastating surprise flank attack from the enemy's rear. My primary mission is simple yet brutal—I must withstand the relentless Imagawa assault and hold out until that surprise offensive is fully ready to be unleashed.

For this defense, my starting army consists of one archer unit, two cavalry units, and four Yari infantry units. On the other side, the enemy fields a massive force boasting several archers, standard infantry, and plenty of heavy cavalry. If I lose focus even for a single turn, I could easily get overrun. Fortunately, this level also acts as a handy tutorial showing how to build defensive watchtowers, which automatically fire upon rival units entering allied territory near the castle. Even with those towers providing cover, it will not be enough on its own to completely halt the enemy advance; I need to position my troops carefully, manage the terrain, and buy enough time until the ambush order is given.

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el octavo capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Tras haber superado con muchísimo esfuerzo la dura defensa del nivel anterior, ahora me encuentro a un solo paso de completar esta primera parte de la campaña y acceder por fin al tan codiciado modo conquista.

Este último nivel del capítulo uno recrea el célebre "Ataque sorpresa en Okehazama". En esta misión debo hacer frente a las fuerzas del clan Imagawa que avanzan con furia desde el sur intentando tomar mi base al norte, creyendo que el líder Oda Nobunaga se encuentra distraído de fiesta y con la guardia baja. No obstante, todo forma parte de una brillante estratagema en la que Nobunaga está preparando en secreto una emboscada por la retaguardia enemiga. Mi deber principal es resistir el embate frontal de los Imagawa hasta que el ataque sorpresa esté listo para ponerse en marcha.

Para esta defensa dispongo de una unidad de arqueros, dos de caballería y cuatro de infantería Yari. En frente, el ejército enemigo cuenta con varios arqueros, infantería y una cantidad considerable de caballería; si me distraigo un momento, la derrota será inevitable. Por fortuna, este nivel incluye también un pequeño tutorial sobre cómo construir torres de vigilancia defensivas, las cuales atacan automáticamente a las unidades rivales que se acerquen al territorio aliado cerca del castillo. Aun así, las torres no serán suficientes para frenar todo el avance enemigo, por lo que tendré que organizar muy bien a mis tropas y aguantar el tipo hasta que llegue la hora del contraataque.
