Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the twenty-eighth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. In this session, I had my hands full trying to resolve the sudden wave of new difficulties, ranging from the lost opportunity to absorb the Asai clan to aggressive new incursions launched by the Takeda and Nagao clans from the east.

First, I ordered the army that had been tasked with conquering the Asai clan to turn right around and march back toward one of my provinces to intercept and blunt the Nagao advance. Meanwhile, near that front line at the Gojou Hachiman fortress in Mino province, I quickly recruited a unit of Naginata Ashigaru to act as a crucial speed bump and buy me some time against the invading Nagao forces.

Things took a much more complicated turn further southeast in South Shinano. Between endless skirmishes with the Nagao and fresh Takeda cavalry pouring into the region, maintaining total control over the province has become an uphill battle. I had to pull back an archer unit and a katana samurai unit deep into the Shinano woods, where dense terrain makes them much harder for enemy units to target or flank. Simultaneously, I used another samurai unit and a spearmen detachment to defend the Lida fortress directly against the oncoming Takeda riders and the imminent arrival of Nagao troops. To top off this logistical nightmare, the Ashikaga shogunate had the audacity to demand even more tribute payments from me, which I flat-out refused once again! This stubborn defiance has cratered my diplomatic standing not just with the Ashikaga, but with several other factions as well. Heavy hardships and brutal, blood-soaked battles loom heavily on the horizon, and I will need to manage every move carefully to survive!

En esta oportunidad me dediqué a resolver las nuevas dificultades que surgieron en el mapa, lidiando con la frustración de no haber podido conquistar al clan Asai y haciendo frente a las renovadas ofensivas de los clanes Takeda y Nagao desde el este.

Para empezar, ordené al ejército que tenía asignado la conquista del clan Asai que diera media vuelta y regresara a una de mis provincias para detener en seco el avance Nagao. Además, muy cerca de esa zona, en la fortaleza de Gojō Hachiman en la provincia de Mino, recluté rápidamente una unidad de Ashigaru con Naginata para retrasar la invasión enemiga todo lo posible.

Por otro lado, más hacia el sureste, la situación en Shinano del Sur se ha puesto bastante cuesta arriba. Tantos combates continuos contra los Nagao y la llegada de nueva caballería Takeda han vuelto muy complicado mantener el control absoluto de la provincia. Tuve que retirar a una unidad de arqueros y a otra de samuráis con katana hacia los bosques de Shinano para refugiarlas en un terreno donde sean mucho más difíciles de alcanzar por el enemigo; mientras tanto, con otra unidad de samuráis y una de lanceros me quedé defendiendo la fortaleza de Lida contra los jinetes Takeda y los inminentes soldados Nagao. ¡Por si estos problemas fueran pocos, el clan Ashikaga me exigió aún más pagos y tributos a los cuales me volví a negar rotundamente! Esta postura ha deteriorado por completo las relaciones diplomáticas tanto con los Ashikaga como con otras facciones. ¡Se aproximan tiempos difíciles y cruentas batallas que tendré que gestionar con suma astucia!
