Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the twentieth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Continuing with my sandbox conquest run, I dedicated this entire session to pushing my ongoing incursion deep into Takeda territory with the ultimate goal of seizing South Shinano.

My vanguard units were already inside Takeda lands while the rival clan remained heavily preoccupied dealing with enemies across multiple distant fronts. I spent several turns carefully gathering resources and maneuvering my troops into position; however, I soon realized that the Takeda capital had already fallen and those exact same rival clans had started gobbling up the surrounding provinces, including my primary target, South Shinano. To make matters even more chaotic, right in the middle of this campaign, the Hatano clan declared war on me—a development that feels equal parts curious and entirely insignificant, seeing as they are just a tiny minor clan located miles away from my borders. But right when my vanguard troops were finally closing in on the fortress (after dragging themselves across painfully slow, steep, and forested mountain terrain), the Nagao clan swept in out of nowhere and captured the South Shinano stronghold right under my nose! Without a second thought, I immediately declared war on the Nagao. Now, I am forced to fight their garrison to take a castle that was originally supposed to be an easy grab.

Meanwhile, I had to hold back my incoming reinforcements of archers and infantry near a frontier fortress close to the war zone, scattering them across mountain hexes because a heavy Takeda cavalry unit suddenly appeared nearby. I quickly entrenched those troops inside the safety of the mountains and forests while dispatching additional infantry and cavalry reinforcements toward South Shinano, this time routing them through the eastern path to entirely bypass that agonizingly slow mountainous terrain. We will just have to see how this unexpected new war unfolds for my clan!

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el vigésimo capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. ¡Continuando con el modo conquista, en esta oportunidad me encargué de continuar la incursión en territorio Takeda para asegurar la provincia de Shinano del Sur!

Mis unidades ya se encontraban en territorio Takeda mientras el clan rival yacía muy ocupado lidiando con enemigos en frentes lejanos. Estuve varios turnos acumulando recursos y movilizando tropas con cautela; sin embargo, me percaté demasiado tarde de que la capital Takeda había caído y de que esos mismos clanes rivales habían empezado a devorar las provincias circundantes, incluida mi preciada provincia objetivo, Shinano del Sur. Para colmo, en plena campaña, ¡el clan Hatano me declaró la guerra! Algo que me resulta tan curioso como insignificante, ya que se trata de un clan pequeño situado muy lejos de mis dominios. Pero justo cuando mis tropas estaban a punto de alcanzar la fortaleza (tras demorarse una eternidad debido al terreno escarpado, boscoso y montañoso), ¡el clan Nagao se adelantó y conquistó el castillo de Shinano del Sur! Sin pensarlo dos veces, les declaré la guerra de inmediato; ahora tengo que librar un duro combate contra sus tropas para arrebatarles una fortaleza que, en un principio, prometía ser un objetivo fácil.

Por otro lado, tuve que retener a los refuerzos de infantería y arqueros cerca de una fortaleza fronteriza a la zona de guerra, dividiéndolos en casillas montañosas porque una peligrosa unidad de caballería pesada del clan Takeda apareció amenazante en las inmediaciones. Así que até de manos a mis unidades atrincherándolas en bosques y montañas, mientras enviaba más infantería y caballería hacia Shinano del Sur, pero esta vez optando por el camino del este para esquivar el detestable terreno montañoso. ¡Ya veremos en qué depara esta nueva guerra repentina para mi clan!
