Just over the channel from Panama City Beach, Fl is Shell Island a protected island.
After a high tide or any type of storm and during the "off" season you can find most anything washed up on shore.
I have found brass spent shell casings from WW2 that were encrusted. The Gulf of Mexico and its close proximity to 2 aircraft bases, planes would fire at distant targets with there casing falling into the gulf, eventually washing up. It also has great shells hence the name Shell Island. This picture is of my daughter catching the best of both worlds, PCB in the distance and the white sands of the island.
