Simple
scribbles, cursive, and quills
ink, tears, hyperbolic memories
fantasy and wishful thinking
from my ballpoint wand
sparks spring; rolls tsunami
Fey, lothario, and blossoms
drop, tenderly discarded
bon-mot offerings
knick-knacks, bric-a-brac
a menagerie of metaphor
to mollify the Muses
fables and myth
pleas for adoration
odes to your beauty
prayers for peace
abundance and contentment
a world bound to love
a simple future with you
From the Ground
from the ground
life returns
a phoenix rises
reborn in my coffee
cup
A Fox Hole Away
channel Madonna
desperately seeking sovereignty
don't tell me its 2025
get current
George Orwell
got his dates wrong
1984 was free
flowing
it is vibrationally yours
you broadcast
you are little out of tune
your transmission
is just off the frequency
your trajectory
is spacetime warped
spaghettified and cork-screwed
you're stuck in a groove
of white noise and distortion
a fox hole away
from the quantum
entangled wormhole
where where
you want to be
already are
it used to be you
but now it is me
it used to be them
now it is us
no ... wait.
it is always them
it's always me
amplify the next wavelength
let it roll out the tapestry
tap tap tap
elevate the troughs
surf the crests
roll out the tapestry
tap tap tap
Sparrows
sparrows
muted plumes
silver songs
winged bards
Un-scroll
wild ones
fragrant and base
blooming in detritus
sediment and rubble
ravenous little things
dead ground to granules
a bed for life and renewal
petal daring
against earth and slate
an un-scrolling invitation
for winged Lotharios
a temporary romance
a dalliance of beauty and biology
death and rebirth
a seductive slow dance
the light touch
of messenger feet
against blushing petals
golden toes, track and trail ore
lashes charged
with metallic potential
gametes meld, helices unwind
to re-interlace, reincarnate
bioelectric fractals
The Squirrel Plans
the squirrel plans
the cat watches
the squirrel
all those nuts
trees grow
With Barely a Flutter
mute the ugly voices
anxiety, excuses
they lie
siphon the spirit
thin the skin
dissolve sinew
corrode the bone
grey the lion's main
turn your roar
to a snivelling, sniffling
whimper, a whine
elevate
hover above
the mundane
future angst
petty gripes
the phoenix
burns the pitch
to light her way
mounts the low
to inhabit the sky
encircles, embraces
renews her world
with barely a flutter
