I hope you feel better. My father had a herniated disk as well but he got surgery. It was a huge success and I'm happy to see him good as new now. That 90% statistic is really surprising; I didn't know that! His was really bad though. He had that specific leg pain that you mentioned except it would numb the leg, causing it to buckle. He almost had a very serious fall several times. Be careful!
