Oh yes! I love tamarind. We call it tamarindo. I get that a lot actually. I can see why everyone thinks that. They both have rough bark and compound leaves. However, it is not tamarindo. How do I know? Because I have that tree too! Unfortunately, the winters are too harsh to grow it in the ground here. So since I will never be able to grow my own fruit, I might a well grow it as a miniature. Here is my actual tamarind tree.
