Features and habitat of hyena
Savannah belt - the so-called huge areas of African savannah, covered with carpet grass. This herbal kingdom stretched across the whole continent - from the south of the Sahara, further Niger, Mali, Sudan, Chad, also Tanzania and Kenya.
Savannah is comfortable for the African beast, one of such interesting species are the wild animals hyena. The hyenas are littered in open desert spaces, on the fringes of forests near trails and roads. Of the vegetation in the savannah, there are sometimes shrubs and rarely solitary trees.
The climate here is subequatorial. The year is divided into two seasons - dry and rainy. Interestingly, Africa looks on the images from space. From above you can clearly see the relief of this continent - most of all occupy the territory of deserts and evergreen rain forests. And in the center, the savannah, full of free wind, grasses and infrequent lonely trees, spread wide.
The nature and way of life of hyena
Many hyenas cause negative emotions. Such people are sure that hyena is an evil creature, feeds only on carrion and kills innocent victims. But, hyena is not more evil and not more insidious than other wild predators.
Previously, the hyena was referred to the genus of the dog. But hyenas are closer to cats, mongooses or wiver - a suborder of cats. Her way of life is similar to a canine one can be earlier, that's why hyenas were considered dogs.
One of the rocks is spotty, this hyena is an animal of Africa. Of its relatives hyenas - striped, brown, earth wolf, the African is the largest. In size, the spotted hyena is on the third place in the list of predatory animals in Africa.
