It was quite scary listening to president Muhamadu Buhari say the lockdown was going to be eased in the most affected parts of Nigeria even though corona virus cases keep increasing geometrically. I believe they had to make this choice because the people were growing impatient though.
A lot of people live below the poverty line in Nigeria, most people earn wages and have to work daily. Keeping people in their homes without providing basic amenities has been really frustrating and the government had to make this tough choice to avoid a rebellion. It's really sad that my government can't provide enough food of all things to the citizens at a time like this, even with all the internal and external donations running into billions. From the 4th of May people will be allowed to do business for a few hours per day to make ends meet, I still don't really see this working smoothly to be honest.
Anyways, personal safety comes first and if I have to step out at all, I will definitely look like this or even more suited, sanitizer at the ready too definitely. Please stay safe people!
