Based on what you're saying, I think the formula didn't change at all; the typical formula is very much there, which is Heroes aimed at a children and family audience 🍭🍭

The movie is light, childish, and commercial, but I believe the problem with the film isn’t the film itself. The failure lay with Warner's executive board, which didn't allow the DC Universe under Snyder to be fully born. The continuity that had previously shown excellent box office numbers—with Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Suicide Squad—got diluted by internal conflicts that affected everything, resulting in this film and others like Black Adam, Blue Beetle, etc., that came years later 😵‍💫😵‍💫

It’s a shame because Gunn himself killed this film. The rumor was already heavily out there, and the true fan knew what was coming. Once DC was set to be restructured, fans thought, 'why even watch the movie?' The fanbase was left feeling lost and disappointed with how Cavill was treated 🫠🫠

In my case, the worst part is seeing a Billy Batson with a serious personality turn into an absolute idiot the moment he transforms into Shazam 😅😅

En lo que planteas pienso que no se cambio ninguna formula, la formula tipica esta muy presente que es Heroes dirigida a un publico infantil y familiar 🍭🍭

La pelicula es ligera, infantil y vomercial pero considero el problema del film no es el film, fallo fue la Directiva de Warner que no dejo nacer plenamente el Universo de DC con Snyder, la continuidad que mostro excelentes numeros de taquilla Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, se diluyo con conflictos internos que afectaron y dan como resultado este film y otros como Black Adam, BlueBeetle etc que vinieron años luego 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Da pesar porque el mismo Gunn mato este film, el rumor ya estaba muy presente y el verdadero fan sabia lo que venia, al reestructurar DC pues para que ver la pelicula, el fan quedo muy perdido y decepcionado con el trato a Cavill 🫠🫠

En mi caso lo peor es ver un Billy Batson con una personalidad seria volverse imbecil cuando se convierte en Shazam 😅😅
