The fact that 100 people have 96 % of the STEEM Power (or more), with nearing 100 000 users .. it creates a very seriously warped playing field, where this group and their selected few, who they regularly and in unison, award massive amounts of money for posts, ever day, many of which are ABSOLUTE SHIT!, and then there's the rest of the users .. all the rest of us, who by our very presence give this platform its future .. there is no future without us, and you are LOSING US!
How Far Does the Average User Need to Go, to Get Somewhere Meaningful?
Take for example one user .. @steemitblog .. someone who has over 30 000 in STEEM Power - with that amazingly high amount of power he not in the top 100, he is in-fact ranked # 252. Well, that is a very high rank indeed, compared to the 92000 + users below him. How much are his votes worth at this relatively high degree of STEEMIT wealth?
A whole buck-n-a-half, not too shabby. He can dole out like $60 per day to people .. amazing!
Take another user, this time from the top 100 .. let's choose # 99 @cryptoctopus, who has 120,360 SP ..
Amazing .. $ 6.00 per post ..
THIS WOULD BE GREAT, the only thing you need is $ 60 000 USD!!!!????
Question: Are Voting Guilds Going to Do Anything to Solve This Problem?
Answer: Yes, if you stick around 100 years!
It will take that long for the power to diffuse. No folks, I don't know what koolaid you're drinking, but mine tastes like horsepiss right about now. This game needs to be sustained in order for the top 100 to continue to enrich themselves - fancy new interface features and underlying code changes to allow for additional services, this is all great .. but unless something very serious is done to change things for 'AVERAGE' STEEMPower holders, people are going to get seriously bored.
