Can you believe that these images were taken 1 week before the invasion in Ukraine started? To be the exact date, it was the 12th of February, right before Valentine's day. Snowy Covered Kharkiv City had no idea what it gonna be facing after 12 days, even I never imagined that I would have to see such horrible moments in life. It's heartbreaking to witness the present situation in Kharkiv. When I see the current condition of Kharkiv city, I hardly recognize the city now. This forest burned already, no more baby pine trees were left there. The destruction has been done, and the damage has been done but I still don't understand why the city is still under bombing and shelling. Probably the enemies couldn't Occupy the city yet.
I always had a dream wearing red gown in such weather. White snow, green pine forest and red dress had been assembled a lovely moment for me which you can see in the photos. I was happy, was smiling and was playing with the snow, was completely unaware of upcoming storm that will destroy my entire life. I really wish, I could see the future...
Elena who was the photographer of this shoot, she left the country because she has a small baby girl. Her husband is fighting for the country. I try to keep in contact with her, after all, she gave me some good memories. Sometimes I find these beautiful memories painful, I already lost my smile, lost myself. I don't know when I am gonna get my life back, my heart cries every night. I can't delete these photos, if I delete them, I will lose all the memories of Kharkiv...
