Heloo Steemians! I've got an original poem for you today; an entry in the Steemit Poetry Contest, sponsored and hosted by @TerryCraft.

How bright can a night be in a world like ours,
Sometimes me think it impossible,
Darkened by sorrow and pain-filled hours,
Such a theme seems so insensible,

O night of darkened gloom filled with toil and pain,
Why beguile men's heart to think thee good,
In you dwell darkness and no atom of bright rays,
No one dare dwell with you in the dark wood's hood,

Sometimes the sorrow comes to build the failing strength,
And troubles make the weak much stronger,
I posses brightness for your persistent and not your relent,
I am bright indeed to make you go one step higher
