Hi guys, it's another Tuesday and the last day of February. This month went in a swift mode and I love it too. Thank God for life!
Here comes another Three Tune Tuesday where we pick three songs anywhere (of course, you have to source) and share them with all Music lovers here. There might be songs we haven't heard or listened to and this is one of the purposes of this challenge by @ablaze. If you need to read more details about #threetunetuesday, kindly click this link and it takes you to where you'd understand better.
For today, I picked a handsome artist for my music recommendations and his songs are what I have chosen to share with you all. Maybe, he is familiar to you or not, I shall tell a bit of him here.
Jordan Davis is a young guy whose next 35th birthday would be coming up on the 30th of March. He is an American Country Pop Singer and Songwriter. All his songs talk about himself and one that brings him some reflection of his life, marriage and career. Jordan Davis has much beard which is obvious that he doesn't like to shave at all. Well, he looks cute! Girls like guys who have many beards so they could see something to play with romantically 😅
His songs wouldn't have seen the light of day if not for his brother, Jacob who convinced him to move to Nashville. That was when he started his music career fully. He has a lovely wife, Kristen and two young children.
Without much talk, let's move on to some of the songs I picked.
The first is titled "Next thing you know"
This song records the trajectory of a relationship and life as a whole. The next thing you know is like talking about a course or the development of something. Like a baby that was born, the next thing you know is for the parent to start buying the baby's food, taking responsibility. The next thing you know is that the baby has grown up and would start school. Next thing you know is seeing the young child getting awards in school as he or she graduates. The next thing you know the parents become grandparents.
Jordan intended to stay single but it changes after meeting a girl in a bar. "Next thing you know" made him expresses his surprise at how fleeting each milestone racks up; his girlfriend moving in, getting married, having kids and next thing is having grandchildren. That is the development of each life cycle and we can't escape from things like this.
The second song is titled "What I wouldn't do"
According to Jordan, he had some friends who were married but had to go through divorces because of one reason or another. And because Jordan is a dad to two kids, there are things he said he wouldn't do just to maintain and protect his marriage and family. He experienced his parents being divorced when he was 17 years old, he knows how hard it is as a single parent and how it could end up affecting his kids if he ever thought of that.
In life, there are things we wouldn't do for our sanity and to maintain our prestige, integrity and reputation. Instead of regretting later, it is good we prevent and avoid such.
The third song for today is titled "Part of it"
In one way or the other, we were all part of it; going through challenges, making us stronger when we overcome, those circumstances are part of it in our lives. We are all part of our parents, and one thing we should know is that there are things that would be part of it for us.
Jordan appreciated the fact that meeting his wife and raising two kids were part of it in his life as he wouldn't know who he'd be without them.
When two young people fall in love, the pain that comes after when things go on the other side is part of it. We just need to understand that things and circumstances are meant to be part of our lives and we will surely have to be involved in some way.
Music is part of us. Through music, we express ourselves and what we are going through. I appreciate the fact that Jordan's songs spoke all about him and those it relates to.
