The situation in my country is becoming messier and tougher day by day and it's so frustrating to see things going this day. Our leaders do not have their citizens in mind, especially those who could not afford to feed once or twice a day. How do they cope in this challenging moment? Many of us did not know things would get to this stage.
I never even felt the cashless situation until two days ago when I badly needed cash to get something because when I needed to buy an item, the owner refused to accept a transfer. I just couldn't cry two days ago as I kept going around asking for cash to withdraw. It was disheartening and when I got home, I had to think about those whose conditions were worse than mine. How do they cope? At least I still have some places to do transfers and get some things. What about the ones who do not know about transfers?
I went to YouTube to check for some encouraging songs to relieve me during this hard time. Now, the election is coming soon and it's this weekend. I hope those in this situation reading this would be inspired by these songs to calm us down at this moment because I believe one thing; if God tarries, things would return to their shape. Let's just endure these hard times and focus on God.
Hard Days by Brantley Gilbert
This song touches me so much. I felt some chill down in me because of those lyrics. It talks about hard days and some words like; if you never hit the rock bottom or cussed the sky, if you never had blood sweat or till the ground, if you have never prayed to the extent that you went to the mountains seven times in a day, (well, I added this part) you wouldn't have known to ask God the question "why?" if you'd never had hard days.
Just like I said earlier that I never imagined this cashless policy was this bad until I experienced it myself because I was just fine doing transfers but didn't think of those who are suffering to eat because there is no cash on them and they cannot make transfers. You can never understand a situation if you haven't been there.
Grow into the YOU by Fearless Soul
Here is another encouraging song to keep you calm, and understand that we are always changing. What we want to be depends on us. Letting go of hurtful memories, leaving behind some scars that brought pain to us, even though it might seem impossible but if we must grow into the best person, we must learn to let go of the past because we keep changing. Just like the song, we are always changing and who we are yesterday is gone, embracing who we are today.
You're still God by Philippa Hanna
To crown today's tune up, let's listen to this amazing song. No matter what we are facing at this time, no matter how dark things may be now, we should be rest assured that God still reigns and that doesn't stop Him from being who He is. I believe with God, all things are possible and this is why we are hoping and keeping our faith in Him for the best in our country.
