There is really no place like home because when somewhere is called home it means that place is comfortable to stay cool to live in and it will be a very peaceful place as well.
The word "no place like home" shouldn't be used for people that travel out of the country alone because despite living in Nigeria, I still miss my hometown.
In Ogun state, life is peaceful. I can't say too much because I lived all my life indoors aside from school days so I don't really know anywhere apart from mom mother's house and the road to my school but Ogun state is one of the best places in Nigeria.
I was born and brought up in Ogun state, ijebu-ode to be precise. My parents are from Ogun state, we lived all our lives in ijebu-ode because it is very good, peaceful, and cool to stay.
I remembered when we were in Ogun state we use to go to the farm to look for snails during the raining season and when it is not raining, we go to a cashew farm to pluck some of it. Those were very beautiful experiences because you can still find some people doing this in Ogun state till now.
We have this beautiful festival that we do once a year which is called Ojude Oba this festival holds every December and people from other states and countries do partake in the celebration.
I and my siblings started leaving Ogun state because we need to pursue our careers. We were not in a hurry to leave because it was very peaceful staying in your hometown, we had things especially fresh food from the farm without stress.
My grandma was a farmer and she has plenty of she uses for farming, she has so many crops on the land like casava, palm cannel, yam, vegetables, and fruits. etc and with all these, we are so cool living in our hometown.
We have so many things that are been produced in Ogun state like cassava flake(Garri), palm oil(epo) groundnut oil (ororo), etc I am sure there are a lot more that is been produced in Ogun state but these are the thing I am familiar with because my grandma does the process it as well some take their crops to the market for sell but my grandma didn't use to sell everything she always shares part of it for her children before taking the rest to the market for sell.

One thing I like about Ogun state people is that they love to learn more, I could remember my mom telling me and my siblings that she doesn't go to school because her mother couldn't afford the school fee back then but she will make sure we all are educated which she fulfilled with all her strength.
Why I mentioned the educational background of Ogun state is that someone once told me that anyone that came from Ogun state doesn't like to study and they don't like anything that has to do with education which is not true, though I don't know everyone in Ogun state but the ones I know are very educated people.
In the aspect of food production, we don't joke with that no matter how educated you are or how long you have left the state.
When it comes to farming, Ogun state people are always the best because we are all farmers from origin though life chooses something else for some of us now like me but I can't deny the fact that my origin is from a farmer which I am proud of till date.
