Hello everyone welcome to HL weekly prompt which topic is "New Year Resolution", let me make use of this opportunity to say happy New Year to you all because I didn't mention that in my first post of the year and I hope it's not too late to wish everyone.
Let's get to the main content, we all should have plans for the new year because anyone who fails to have goals in life has no direction. Without setting a goal such a person would just be living his or her life anyhow and at the end of the year, he or she wouldn't be able to account for what they have achieved throughout the whole year.
When I first saw this prompt I remembered my goals from last year, one thing about setting goals is that once you set more than what you can achieve you won't be able to complete it before the year runs out.
I couldn't complete my goals last year because I set more than what I could do, I joined the savers club last year with the mindset of saving up my HBD which I set a certain amount that I would love to save up and I also set target for HP as well but at the end of the year I couldn't account for all what I did because I didn't met up the goals, even though I joined the club late but I couldn't do half of what I wanted to save. I felt bad about that but I can't give up because of that.
This year, I have different goals even though I still have plans to add last year's goals to them, so here is what I have for the new year.
Growing my Hive power: Sometimes when I walk around engaging on people's posts, I discover that some newbie's posts didn't get acknowledged which makes their posts empty; they don't have tips on their content. So if I could grow my Hive power, those are the people I would love to boast their posts because I have been there I know how it is to create content and not get anything on it.
So I wouldn't mind tipping newbies to encourage them that Hive Blockchain is the best place to be.
Power up: I have never done power up before ever since I joined Hive Blockchain because I always forgot or probably I might not have HP to do so by the time I was supposed to do it, but this year I want to change all that by starting to do power up to support Hive Blockchain because Hive has been so good to me and the only way I can repay is to start powering up to support Hive Blockchain.
Engagement: I haven't been engaging so well during the festive season because I was so busy with work and by the time I got back home in the night, I would be extremely tired but this year I want to change all that. I am on break for work now so I have all the time I need to stay online and engage very well.
I know some people might be thinking about me mentioning HBD, I actually have plans for that too like I mentioned before, I would be adding my last year's goals to this year's goals.
Saving up HBD was my last year's goal, which was why I joined the savers club so I will definitely do that as well and I will work extra hard to get that done because I know it is easier to say than done, but this time I wouldn't set more than what I can do.
